Beautiful Legacy Leadership Academy
The Leadership Academy is a program structured to develop the young women into the next generation of leaders. The Academy is broken into two groups 6th-8th (Pearls) and 9th-12th (Diamonds). Each individual participating in the Academy must meet all basic requirements which are as follows: a 3.0 GPA, complete 36 hours of community service and be an active member of Legacy in Me. The Academy also requires a yearly due of $160 which includes membership in the What's Next program.
The classes, seminars, workshops, etc. in the academy build upon the teachings and lessons taught in Legacy in Me and take them to next level. The expectation is that in the 6th-8th grade group, the young ladies will gain a basic knowledge of what it means to be academically, socially, culturally, financially, developmentally, and spiritually sound. Each of the classes at this level will give the young lady a general introduction and allow her to understand basic concepts. They will be structured so that each class will hit upon the main and most important points that each individual needs to know in order to be successful in life. The young ladies will walk away with a basic understanding of key terms, themes, and ideas.
The expectation for the 9th-12th grade group is to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of key concepts and know how to apply them to their individual lives. The goal is not for the young lady to just know the concepts but to really understand how to apply them and be effective in creating their own footprint on society. The girls will walk away with a plan that will help guide them on their journey and help them to remember key points in times of need. The goal is that by the time the girls have completed and graduated from the Academy that she will have a vision/dream for her life with obtainable goals and a plan of action of how to achieve them.
