What's Next is a program that helps students make the decision of whether to go to college or enter the workforce. This program will provide guidance to the young lady as she makes a critical decision in her life. The classes, seminars, and workshops will focus on helping the young lady make the best decision for her future. She will take part in activities such as resume writing, interviewing, how to dress for an interview and after you receive the job, how to fill out a job or college application etc. Upon conclusion of the program participants will have completed various activities and classes that enhance their personal and professional experience making them more well-rounded students.
The primary focus will be on juniors and seniors but will be open to all high school students. Participants are required to complete an entrance application that is similar to a college or job application. There will be forums and workshops open to both the students and their parents. The goal of What's Next is to assist in creating a bridge from high school to college/real world, eliminating the fear of the blind jump from childhood to becoming a young responsible adult. Upon completion of the program the young lady will be able to make the best choice and head in the right direction for her life.
There is a yearly due of $100 for those that are not active members of the Leadership Academy.
